ITINERARY

Day 1 : Arrival Cairo
Morning arrival to Cairo.  You will be transferred to the hotel.  In the evening, enjoy a dinner on The Nile.

Day 2 :  Giza Tour
Breakfast at hotel & check out.  Morning visit to The Great Pyramids.  See the most amazing wonders of the world built by Pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.

Also see their guardian, The Great Sphinx.  Enjoy a camel ride in the sand as you try to comprehend how these enormous structures were built.  

In the afternoon visit The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum.  This is home to 120,000 ancient Egyptian antiquities.

Day 3 :  Aswan
Morning fly  to Aswan – arrive & transfer  to hotel. Day free in Aswan at leisure.  

Optional : Day trip to Abu Simble, site of two temples built by the Egyptian king Ramses II.  These worth every minute of the three hour ride.

The four colossal statues of Ramses in front of the main temple are spectacular examples of ancient Egyptian art. Just to the north of the main temple is a smaller one,

dedicated to Nefertari for the worship of the goddess Hathor and adorned with 35-foot statues of the king and queen.

Day 4 : Aswan / Nubian village
After breakfast check out the hotel & transfer to visit the Nubian village.  Seeing this culture ‘up close and personal’ is truly a unique experience with the Nubians of Egypt.   

Day 5 : Aswan Tour  / Luxor Tour
Breakfast followed by check out from the hotel in Aswan l & visit one of Nubia’s most important monument sites, the Temples of Philae. This was an ancient pilgrimage center for the cult of Isis and dazzled travelers with its power for centuries. This sacred site was venerated from the Pharaonic era up to the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods with each ruler adding their own stamp onto the stones here. Saved from a watery grave by UNESCO’s rescue project, which transferred the monuments block by block from Philae Island to Agilika Island, today, the temples continue to work their charm on all who visit.

In the afternoon, at  02.30 pm, transfer by deluxe train to Luxor.  Transfer into hotel for some rest before an early evening visit Luxor Temple visit.

Day 6 :   Luxor Tour /  Sound & Light Show
Breakfast & transfer to visit  the West Bank sights including Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon.

The Egyptians built massive public monuments to their pharaohs. But they also spent time and treasure creating hidden underground mausoleums.  The most famed collection of such elaborate tombs—the Valley of the Kings—lies on the Nile’s west bank near Luxor.The Temple of Hatshepsut is not only a memorial temple that honors Queen Hatshepsut, it is also one of the greatest Egyptian architectural achievements.

During the evening attend the sound & light show at Karank Temples.

Day 7 :  Luxor /  Cairo Tour
Optional:  If you’re not afraid of heights, hop on a Hot Air Balloons ride over Luxor.  Then enjoy a free day of leisure in Luxor.

If you wish to end your mystical Egyptian journey here, you will be transferred to airport to fly back to Cairo. You will be transferred to hotel for your final night. You may want to enjoy some final souvenir shopping in Cairo before you go.

Day 8 :    Departure
After breakfast check out the hotel & transfer to Cairo airport.  Head back to US.
